Staffing Referrals, a leading automated referral management (ARM) platform service provider in Colorado, is looking for a Backend Ruby on Rails Developer motivated to join their mission to help more people find jobs they love. 

As a Rails Developer, you will be responsible for tackling some of the toughest and most exciting challenges in the staffing scene, get the opportunity to create the underlying framework that will scale their business for years to come, define and build features, and perform integrations with industry-leading ATS’s (such as Bullhorn and AviontéBOLD).

Responsibilities: 

  • Create the underlying framework to help scale our business for years to come.
  • Create and maintain stable third-party integrations.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as modifying, changing, and updating systems or modules to resolve errors, improve performance, or adapt to changing environments.
  • Implement code that is clear, concise, tested, and easily understood by others.
  • Write documentation to guide our partners, development, and support teams.
  • Mentor junior developers in good development practices for clean code and reliable software.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other members of the team.

About You:

  • You bring an owner mindset and the ability and inclination to be hands-on in all aspects of the role.
  • You can break complex problems into smaller, more manageable chunks of work.
  • You exhibit strong presentation, organization, and time management skills.
  • You exercise exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • You practice meticulous attention to detail.

Required:

  • 3+ years of professional experience developing customer-facing production Rails applications.
  • 3+ years of experience writing SQL and tuning for database performance with Postgres or similar.
  • Experience creating and maintaining stable third-party integrations.
  • Experience with Heroku/AWS.
  • Highly Conversational English (B2/C1).
  • You live in Latin America.

Helpful:

  • Bullhorn, Avionte, or general applicant tracking experience is a plus
  • Staffing industry experience is a plus.
  • Systems engineering degree or equivalent is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary of $50k - $80k USD/yr depending on experience.
